Seneca County Health Department Releases 2016-2018 Community Health Assessment

Every three years, the New York State Department of Health requires local health departments to complete a comprehensive Community Health Assessment in collaboration with a local hospital(s).” Through this current process, the Seneca County Health Department partnered with Geneva General Hospital to develop a Community Health Improvement Plan and a Community Health Service Plan. Together these documents will guide the work of the local health department and its partners to address Seneca County’s priority health needs.

The health priorities identified during the health assessment process for Seneca County are: Hypertension, Obesity & Substance Abuse.  An electronic version of the 2016-2018 Community Health Assessment for Seneca County is available here seneca-county-health-and-geneva-general-hospital-cha-2016-2018.  A copy can also be obtained by calling our office at (315) 539-1920.
